Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Version 1.0 — effective 24 August 2026
These terms are a contract between you and RaceLink Operations Pty Ltd (ACN 701 664 075, ABN 41 701 664 075) of New South Wales, Australia, trading as RaceLink.io. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “RaceLink” mean RaceLink Operations Pty Ltd, and “you” means the person holding a RaceLink account.
By creating an account or using RaceLink, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use RaceLink.
RaceLink is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by iRacing.com Motorsport Simulations, LLC. “iRacing” is a trademark of its owner and is used here only to describe what RaceLink works with.
1. What RaceLink is
RaceLink is a platform that helps people who run and race in iRacing leagues: linking iRacing accounts, syncing standings, schedules and results, building registration forms, taking registration payments, handling protests and penalties, sending league announcements, and syncing race calendars.
RaceLink is a tool for leagues. We do not run leagues, organise races, set sporting regulations, adjudicate incidents, or decide who wins anything. Those things are done by league operators, who are independent of us.
2. Contact
dev@racelink.io for support, legal notices, content complaints and privacy requests.
3. Who can use RaceLink
You must be at least 13 years old. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up and we do not allow anyone under 13 to hold an account. If we discover an account holder is under 13, we will close the account and delete their information.
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must read and accept these terms on your behalf, provide their email address, and supervise your use of RaceLink. Where a parent or guardian has accepted these terms for a minor, references to “you” include both of them, and the parent or guardian is responsible for the minor’s compliance with these terms. This mirrors iRacing’s requirement that under-18s have a parent or guardian set up their iRacing account.
You must also:
- have the legal capacity to enter into this contract, or have a parent or guardian who does;
- not be barred from using RaceLink under any applicable law or sanctions regime; and
- not have previously had a RaceLink account terminated by us for breach of these terms.
4. Your account
- Give us accurate information and keep it current.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One account per person. Do not share your account or let anyone else use it.
- Tell us promptly at dev@racelink.io if you think your account has been compromised.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms — see clause 15.
5. Linking your iRacing account
Most of RaceLink’s features need a linked iRacing account. Linking uses iRacing’s own authorisation process; we never receive your iRacing password.
- You must comply with iRacing’s own terms of service. Nothing in these terms overrides them.
- We access iRacing data under iRacing’s developer program. If our access is changed or withdrawn by iRacing, features that depend on it may stop working, and clause 13 applies.
- You can unlink at any time. Most features will stop working when you do.
We do not warrant that iRacing data shown in RaceLink is accurate, complete or current. It is a copy of what iRacing gives us, synced periodically. Standings, ratings, results and lap times shown in RaceLink are for convenience. iRacing’s own data is the authoritative record, and league operators should not decide championships, penalties or prize money on the basis of RaceLink data alone without checking it.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- harass, threaten, abuse, defame or impersonate anyone;
- file protests you know to be false, or use the protest system to harass another driver rather than to raise a genuine sporting concern;
- upload, link to or transmit unlawful, infringing, obscene, hateful or violent material, or anything sexualising a minor;
- upload any file other than an iRacing replay file, attempt to disguise another file type as one, or attempt to exceed the file size limit;
- upload a replay of a session you did not take part in, or upload a replay for any purpose other than supporting a genuine protest;
- collect or attempt to collect personal information about other users other than through RaceLink’s intended features;
- publish or disclose personal information you obtain through RaceLink — including league rosters, contact details and form answers — outside the purpose for which it was shared with you;
- scrape, crawl, bulk-export or systematically extract data from RaceLink, or use it to build a competing dataset or product;
- circumvent authentication, rate limits, row-level security or any other technical restriction, or probe or test our systems without our written permission;
- interfere with the service or the infrastructure it runs on, or upload malicious code;
- use RaceLink for gambling, betting, or any wagering on race outcomes; or
- use RaceLink for anything unlawful, or to help anyone else do any of the above.
If you find a security vulnerability, tell us at dev@racelink.io before telling anyone else, and do not exploit it or access anyone else’s data.
7. Leagues and league operators
Leagues are independent. A league you find on RaceLink is run by its own operators, with its own rules, fees, schedule and disciplinary decisions. We are not a party to your relationship with a league, we do not vet leagues or their operators, and we are not responsible for how a league treats you, whether it runs the season it advertised, or whether it does what it said it would. Disputes with a league are between you and the league.
If you run or administer a league on RaceLink, you additionally agree that:
- You are responsible for the personal information you collect through RaceLink from your members. You are the controller of that information and we handle it on your instructions. You must have a lawful basis for collecting it, tell your members what you are collecting and why, and comply with the privacy laws that apply to you and to them.
- You accept our League Operator Agreement, which sets out the data protection terms between us. Where that agreement conflicts with these terms in relation to member data, that agreement prevails.
- You must not use RaceLink forms or any other feature to collect: health or medical information; government identifiers such as passport, driver licence, tax file or social security numbers; bank account, card or other financial account details; biometric information; information about a person’s race, ethnicity, religion, political opinions, trade union membership, sexual orientation or criminal record; or the personal information of anyone under 13.
- You must not collect any personal information you do not actually need, and must not require members to answer a question that is irrelevant to participating in your league.
- You will keep member information confidential, use it only to run your league, and not sell it, disclose it to third parties, or use it for marketing.
- You will delete member information when you no longer need it, and will action any request a member makes to you about their information.
- You indemnify us as set out in clause 17 for claims arising from what you collect, how you use it, and how you run your league.
We may remove a form, a message, a league or a league operator’s access if we reasonably believe these terms are being breached.
8. Registration fees and payments
Leagues can charge for registration. Here is exactly how that works.
- Payments go to the league, not to us. League operators connect their own Stripe account. Money moves from you to the league through Stripe. RaceLink never holds, controls or has access to your funds.
- Card details never reach us. Payment happens on Stripe’s hosted checkout page.
- Our platform fee is 15%, deducted from the league’s payout on each transaction. If you are a member paying a registration fee, you pay only the price the league advertises — our fee comes out of the league’s side, not yours.
- If you are a league operator, you agree to the 15% platform fee. It is deducted automatically by Stripe on each transaction. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before changing it, and you may stop taking payments through RaceLink at any time if you do not accept the change.
- You will also be bound by Stripe’s own agreements. Connecting a Stripe account means accepting the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and Stripe Services Agreement directly with Stripe. You are responsible for meeting Stripe’s requirements, including identity verification and anything Stripe asks of you.
- Refunds are the league’s responsibility, not ours. Because the money is in the league’s Stripe account, we cannot refund you and will not do so. If a season is cancelled, changed, or does not happen, or if you want your money back for any other reason, you must take that up with the league operator. League operators must handle refund requests fairly and promptly, and must comply with the Australian Consumer Law or their local equivalent where it applies to them.
- Chargebacks and disputes are handled between you, the league and Stripe. Where a payment is refunded, reversed or successfully disputed, we may retain or reclaim our platform fee at our discretion, and a league operator remains liable to us for fees on transactions that are later reversed.
- Taxes. RaceLink Operations Pty Ltd is not currently registered for GST, so our platform fee is not subject to GST. League operators are responsible for their own tax obligations on the fees they collect, including determining whether they need to charge GST or any other tax on registration fees.
9. Protests and penalties
- Protests are decided by league administrators, applying their own league’s rules. We do not review protests, do not decide outcomes, do not hear appeals, and take no position on whether an allegation is true.
- Protests are visible only to administrators of the league concerned. They are not published to other members.
- You may attach an iRacing replay file as evidence. In doing so you confirm that you took part in the session, that you have the right to share the file, and that you understand a replay contains data about every driver in that session, not only the driver you are protesting. Only attach a replay where it is genuinely needed. We may remove any uploaded file, and may impose limits on file size, file type and how many files you can upload.
- You are responsible for what you write in a protest. Making a false, malicious or abusive allegation, or using the protest system to harass another driver, is a breach of clause 6 and may result in your account being suspended or closed. It may also expose you to legal liability to the person you accused — we do not review protests before administrators see them, and filing one does not make us responsible for its content.
- Penalties are applied by league administrators. Every protest outcome and penalty is decided by a human; nothing is automated.
- If you believe a protest about you is inaccurate, defamatory or abusive, use clause 11.
10. Your content
“Your content” means anything you submit to RaceLink: protests, replay files and other files you upload, form answers, messages, announcements, stint and fuel plans, bug reports, and links you provide.
You keep ownership of your content. You warrant that you have the right to submit it, that it does not infringe anyone’s rights, and that it does not breach clause 6.
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, display, adapt for formatting purposes, and otherwise process your content for the purpose of operating, securing, supporting and improving RaceLink, and to make it available to the people RaceLink is designed to show it to — your league’s administrators and members. This licence lasts as long as we hold the content, and ends when it is deleted under our Privacy Policy, except to the extent it is embedded in a league’s historical records.
Separately, we may use league-level and aggregate or de-identified material — league names, standings, event listings, screenshots of platform features, usage statistics — to promote and describe RaceLink. We will not use your personal information, your form answers, your protests or your private messages in marketing without asking you first.
We do not review or moderate content before it appears. We may remove content that breaches these terms, but we are not obliged to monitor for it.
11. Uploaded files, external links, and takedown
11.1 Files you upload
The only files RaceLink accepts are iRacing replay files attached to protests. Uploads are limited to 25MB per file, and we may refuse, remove or delete any file at any time — including one that is too large, is not a replay, appears malicious, or breaches clause 6.
We store uploaded files privately. We do not review them before an administrator sees them, we do not analyse their contents, and we do not publish them. Storing a file does not mean we endorse or accept the allegation it was uploaded to support.
Do not treat RaceLink as storage for your replays. Files are deleted on the schedule in our Privacy Policy, and we are not liable for the loss of any file you upload. Keep your own copy.
11.2 Links to material hosted elsewhere
RaceLink lets users share links to material hosted by third parties — lap guides, setup files, videos, league websites and similar.
We do not host, store, control, endorse or check that material. We are not responsible for it, for its accuracy or safety, or for anything that happens on a third-party site. Follow links at your own risk.
11.3 Notice and takedown
If content on RaceLink — including an uploaded replay file — or a link posted on RaceLink is unlawful, infringes your copyright or other rights, defames you, discloses your personal information without a proper basis, or is abusive, email dev@racelink.io with:
- what the content is and where to find it on RaceLink;
- why you say it is unlawful or infringing;
- your contact details; and
- for copyright claims, a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them, and that your complaint is made in good faith.
We will review it and, where we agree, remove or disable the content, and may suspend the account responsible. We may pass your complaint to the user who posted the content. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
12. Our intellectual property
RaceLink, the RaceLink name and logo, the software, the interface and the documentation are ours (or our licensors’). These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use RaceLink as intended, and nothing more. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, or create derivative works from RaceLink or any part of it.
Feedback and suggestions you send us can be used freely by us without obligation or payment.
13. Availability, changes, and the fact that this is early software
RaceLink is provided free of charge to members and is in active development.
- We do not promise any level of availability, uptime or performance. There is no service level agreement.
- We may change, add, restrict or remove features at any time, including features you rely on. For changes that materially reduce functionality you use, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
- We may need to take RaceLink offline for maintenance, upgrades, or to deal with a security issue.
- Features that depend on third parties may break. iRacing, Stripe, Google Calendar and Supabase are outside our control. If any of them changes, restricts or withdraws access, the dependent features may degrade or stop working.
- We may discontinue RaceLink entirely. If we do, we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email where practical, and a way to retrieve your data.
- Back up anything you cannot afford to lose. Do not use RaceLink as the only record of your league’s data.
14. Disclaimers
Subject to clause 16, RaceLink is provided “as is” and “as available”, and we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.
In particular, we do not warrant that:
- data synced from iRacing is accurate, complete or current;
- standings, ratings or results shown are correct;
- calendar syncing or the ICS feed will deliver every event on time;
- payments, refunds or payouts will complete without error on a third party’s side; or
- any league will run as advertised, treat you fairly, or exist next season.
15. Suspension and termination
You can stop using RaceLink at any time and can ask us to delete your account by emailing dev@racelink.io.
We may suspend or terminate your account, or restrict your access to features, if:
- you breach these terms;
- you use RaceLink in a way that creates legal risk or risk to other users;
- we are required to by law, or by iRacing, Stripe or another provider;
- your account has been inactive for 24 months; or
- we discontinue RaceLink.
Where practical, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it first. For serious breaches — harassment, fraud, security attacks, or content sexualising a minor — we will act immediately and without notice.
On termination: your right to use RaceLink ends; clauses 10 (as to content already embedded in league records), 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, 20 and 21 survive; and your data is handled as set out in our Privacy Policy.
16. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right, warranty or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Where we are entitled to limit our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited, at our option, to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
If you are a consumer in the EEA or the United Kingdom, nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.
17. Limitation of liability
Subject to clause 16, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunity or anticipated savings, however caused.
- Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with these terms or your use of RaceLink is limited to the total amount of fees you have actually paid to us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or AUD $100 if you have paid us nothing.
- We are not liable for anything a league does or fails to do, including cancelled seasons, unrefunded registration fees, penalties, disqualifications, or how a league handles your personal information.
- We are not liable for the acts or omissions of iRacing, Stripe, Google, Supabase or Vercel, or for any outage, data loss, breach or change on their side.
- We are not liable for content created by users, including protests, messages, form answers and links.
You acknowledge that RaceLink is provided free of charge to members, that these limits reflect that, and that they are a fundamental part of the bargain between us.
18. Indemnity
You indemnify us and our officers and contractors against all loss, damage, liability, cost and reasonable legal expenses arising from:
- your breach of these terms or of any law;
- your content, including any claim that it is defamatory, infringing or unlawful;
- if you are a league operator: your collection, use, disclosure or handling of your members’ personal information; your operation of your league; any registration fee you collected and did not refund; and any claim by a member or a regulator arising from any of those things.
This indemnity is reduced to the extent our own negligence or breach contributed to the loss.
19. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy at racelink.io/policies/privacy-policy explains what we collect and why, and forms part of these terms. By using RaceLink you acknowledge that your personal information will be handled as described there, including being stored and processed outside Australia.
20. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. When we do:
- the version number and effective date at the top will change;
- for material changes we will notify you by email and in the app at least 14 days before they take effect; and
- we may ask you to accept the new version before continuing to use RaceLink.
We record which version of these terms you accepted and when. Continuing to use RaceLink after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not accept a change, stop using RaceLink and ask us to close your account.
21. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the courts of appeal from them.
If you are a consumer resident outside Australia, this clause does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory laws of your country of residence, or of any right to bring proceedings in your local courts where that right cannot be excluded.
Before starting proceedings, talk to us. Email dev@racelink.io with a description of the problem and what you want. We will respond within 14 days and try to resolve it. Both of us agree to attempt resolution in good faith for 30 days before commencing legal action, except where urgent injunctive relief is needed.
22. General
- Entire agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and (for league operators) the League Operator Agreement are the whole agreement between us about RaceLink, and replace anything said or written before.
- Severability. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, it is severed and the rest continues to apply.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a right, we have not given it up.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may assign these terms to a purchaser of the RaceLink business, and will notify you if we do.
- No agency. Nothing here creates a partnership, employment, agency or joint venture between us.
- Force majeure. Neither of us is liable for failure to perform caused by something outside our reasonable control.
- Notices. We will contact you at the email address on your account. Contact us at dev@racelink.io.
